New information stands are installed near the sights in the area of the Awgustow Canal

New information stands are installed near the sights on the cycle route in the area of the Augustow Canal. This was announced by the deputy chairman of the PO "Republican Tourist and Sports Union" Sergei Koleda.

Specialists have completed marking a 40-kilometer cycling route, laid along the most picturesque places of the Awgustow Canal. The route number 433, connected the seasonal checkpoint Lesnaya-Rudavka on the Belarusian-Polish border and the sluice Nemnovo.

For marking the route, about 200 special plates have been installed. There are 17 rest places on its length. There are also 17 information stands. They are located near the most interesting sights.

The route will become part of the international bicycle network. The roads through the Lesnaya-Rudavka checkpoint will connect the Grodno region with the GREEN VELO network of routes in Poland: their length is about 2 thousand km.
