The village of Shaulichi in the Grodno region became the sister of Khatyn. Her Germans completely obliterated for the fact that near the village they killed a German doctor. 366 local residents, of which 120 children, were shot and all houses burned. A memorial complex has been created at the site of the tragedy, where hundreds of people from all over the region come. On July 6, a German medical officer was killed near a village. The Nazis did not begin to sort out the reasons for a long time and accused the locals of helping the partisans. The next day, at dawn, the village and the surrounding farms were surrounded by punishers, drove people to the square and checked according to the lists of the commandant's office. Women and children were closed in school, while old people and teenagers in a barn. The residents of Shaulich were shot, after all the houses and buildings were burned. The village burned for a whole day.

Every year on July 7, hundreds of people come to the Shaulichi memorial complex to honor their memory and pay tribute to the dead but not defeated locals.
